The following is general Fair information from the Creamery Fair Co Ordinators
Set up for Fair – WE NEED YOU!
Everyone’s help is needed to prepare the grounds, string lights in the tents, etc.  Tents should be in place by Tuesday. Please come anytime Tuesday evening, August 9th, from 6:00 PM on and bring appropriate tools, ladders, etc. if you can.  Many hands make light work, so come on out and help us spruce up for the Fair. If your child is in 4-H, we need your help. Anything not finished on Tuesday will have to be done Wednesday evening. We are counting on each club to put lights up in your own tent area, and we need helpers for the big Activity Tent and smaller white tents.
Special Friday Events The Activity Tent will be busy Friday ”.There are numerous demonstrations scheduled throughout the fair. Equine activities will include the mounted drill team, pony rides, and the Graterford Mounted Guard.
Open Pet Show on Saturday- this event is open to all people ages 8 and older (adults too) to bring their favorite animals. There will be about 8 classes but the ones you want to know about in advance are Best Costume for the Pet; Best Duo costume (you and your pet dress for a theme); Best Pet Trick; and Most Colorful Pet. No livestock or poultry are allowed due to health and safety regulations. All cats and dogs must have current rabies and inoculations up to date (please bring paperwork or rabies tags). For more information call the 4-H office 610-489-4315 .
Animal Health Issues
All barns amp; tents will be set up with barriers around the outside as was done last year. People can touch the animals with your approval but if you don’t want the animals touched, please put up a notice sign. We will be posting signs at the barns reminding people to wash their hands after being around animals and especially before eating. There will be one entrance and one exit for each barn, hand washing stations provided at the exit of each barn, and signs posted to help keep our fair goers and us safe.

1. Wash your hands for 20 seconds after working with the animals and before eating.

2. Food should not be eaten in the animal tents or barns, especially when the public is there.  We don’t want the general public doing this, so we need to set the example.
3. Have a responsible adult in each animal area to oversee safety and remind people to please wash their hands after leaving the barns, especially if they pet the animals.
4. Remember that the hand sinks may have soap in the water.  DO NOT DRINK OR GIVE TO THE ANIMALS TO DRINK!
5.  Remind fairgoers to not put plates or food on the ground for eating.
6. Remember to drink enough fluids to stay healthy and cool!

Overnight Visitors
The only people allowed to stay overnight at the fair are 4-H members with animals being shown at the fair and official chaperones. Since only a few people stay each night, permission and medical release forms this year will be available from your leader. If you want any mailed to you directly, call the 4-H office at 610-489-4315. Your club must provide adult chaperones for any members staying overnight. Only members 13 and older may stay over unless their parent is with them and their leader approves. All members need a caretaker form and medical release turned into the chaperone for the night.
For those staying overnight, there will be NO breakfast available from the food stand Friday or Saturday mornings. You are welcome to bring your own food

Parking and Fair Catalogs
This year we are asking for a $5.00 parking fee per car coming into the Fair, to help defray some Fair expenses. Additional donations welcome! In return, each vehicle will receive a Fair catalog and a great
4-H reusable tote bag.  We need 4-H families to help by contributing once.  We will not be using exhibitor passes for 4-H families; just simply pay your fee once and put your fair catalog in the window to alert the attendants that you have paid.
WE NEED HELP WITH PARKING!
We are bringing all fair traffic into the grounds from Cressman Road this year and will need lots of help with parking. We will also be running shuttles from the upper parking areas down the hill to the main fairgrounds. We need both adults and responsible youth to volunteer. An adult needs to be with a child if they are working the entrances since $ is involved.
You will be assigned a 2 hour shift. Patti Colby of Creamery Crafters is coordinating the parking this year. Please contact her at patticolby@msn.com or by phone:  610-630-8289 as soon as possible.
Please help us support the Fair.  All of us use the center for our club meetings, shows and other 4-H activities free of charge and this is our chance to give something back in the form of time. Without your help, we will lose some real income from parking. If you have teens, a church group or Eagle scouts looking for community service hours, call us ASAP.
Seeking Fair Sponsors
We are always adding events to the Fair, but we need sponsors to help us fund these attractions. If you know of any individuals, businesses or clubs who would be willing to help sponsor a band, educational display, tent or special activity, please let the 4-H office know. Prices range from $200 to $1,500. In exchange for sponsorship, the sponsors will be recognized with a sign at the event or booth space.
Thanks also to the many sponsors who placed ads in the Fair Yearbook and our sponsors for the tote bags. Please thank them and patronize their businesses. Be sure to let them know where you saw their name.
Your Muscles are Needed
We really need help cleaning up after the Fair. Please stay with us past 4:00 PM on Saturday! Adults and youth are needed for outside and inside clean up. We need to clean up the building amp; grounds, stack chairs amp; tables, put lights away, move unsold fabric, etc.  This is a great way to get community service volunteer hours for your church, youth group, or for school requirements.
